In my last post I mentioned the new addition to the family, well I am sorry to have to say that the little fishy passed away today:(

On a lighter note: I have manged to do some scrapping tonight its too late to take a photo so I will take one in the morning. We don't have any plans for this weekend so maybe I will get some more layouts done now that I am on a roll!!!!!

So what are your plans for the weekend.

Here is some trivia that I have recently discovered:

Milkway in American is more or less Mars Bars in the UK and Musketeers are Milky ways, Dove chocolate here tastes like Galaxy. A bit of useless information I thought I would share with you. If I discover anything else I will let you know LOL. We also discovered Walgreens sell Cadburys cream eggs so at least I can get my chocolate fix.

We also discovered the nearest thing to english jam doughnuts (donuts) they are called Berliners.

Have you noticed I am going on about food!!! food or familiar foods is the one thing that I miss about not being in England!!!! Bisto, Paxo stuffing, sausage rolls, scotch eggs, sausages, decent bacon, Cadburys chocolate infact any english chocolate, Robinsons Apple and Blackcurrant juice. Thats just a few things and I am sure if I thought about it I could come up with a long list but whats the point if I can't get it.

I have however discovered that Kwik Trip donuts (doughnuts) are really tasty!!!!!!

Anyway I am off to do a bit of surfing take care and have a great weekend.

About a month ago we bought an aquarium and slowly built up our stock of fish. We lost a few fish on the way especially in the first few days but I have some good news.

I am now the proud owner of a baby fish (Fry or is that Frie???) I went to feed the fish this evening and there was this little tiny baby! I manged to catch it and put it in a separte container inside the tank so that it doesn't get eaten, I am sure that there were more baby fish but reckon they were breakfast. I think it is a Molly but can't be too sure at this stage as there are a few live bearers in the tank.

Lost Season 4

I have been waiting ages for this to start and tonight is the night. So from now on I know what i will be doing on a Thursday night. Don't worry for those in the UK I won't post spoilers and ruin it for you.

Just wanted to say Happy Birthday Jenny and the card is in the post today! sorry I am so forgetful. Maybe the 1st thing I should make with my BIA (which is still in the box) is a birthday book or something to help me remember important dates and for once get organised!!!

I still haven't managed to tidy up my scrap room properly but I have made a start! so hepefully I will start scrapping agian. I have some great pictures of the boys that I would like to scrap and even have some papers but just can't seem to motivate myself.

Anyway must get on and do some housework.

 

 

 

 

Its a shame this one isn't as sharp as the one below plus the snowflakes got in the pic too, now only if I could remove them! I still need to figure out how to use adobe ps!

I took this picture at the weekend and was really pleased with how well it turned out considering I wasn't even trying. Look at his little rosey cheeks he just looks the picture of health. Can't wait to scrap this one, just need to get some pics printed off!

At the moment it is very cold here, infact freezing cold its is -15F which for all you people in the UK converts to -26C so we are staying inside this weekend and not going out anywhere, we were going skiing but at that temp its just too cold!!!!!!

I plan on tidying my scrap room up so I can start playing again!

The other day we went to a furntiure shop in Veroqua which is about 30 mins from home. I took my camera as the scenery is beautiful on the drive to the shop. I think I have a thing about American barns at the moment as I took loads of pics of them but don't worry I am not going to bore you silly with them!!!! Check out the Moo Hotel though!!

Proud Mummy Moment

The other week ds2 came home and told us that he had been chosen to be one of the four out of his class to take part in the school spelling bee (spelling comp for all you english peeps). I was as pleased as punch considering he has only been at the school for less than 3 months. Not only that but some words in English are spelt slightly different in American English and he also has the accent to contend with too. Now since he has known about this he has been so nervous about doing it, the day he told me about it he got all upset as he was worried about making a fool of himself in front of the whole school. I explained to him the fact that he had been chosen was a feet in itself, even if he came last in the competition it would not matter and this seemed to make him feel better about the whole thing.

Anyway, the spelling bee was yesterday afternoon which I went along to watch. Well he did extremely well, he actually WON it, out of the whole school my little baby WON I was and am so pleased for him and felt so proud of him. This now means he goes along to a regional competition and represents his school. So as you can imagine I am one happy proud mum at the moment.

I am still full of cold and my ears are so blocked I feel like they are full of water so I haven't been up to much, no scrapping or crafting. I still havn't taken my bind it all out of the box !!!!!

The snow is starting to thaw at the moment and it all looks quite mucky but apparently it is going to snow tommorow so that will probably cover up the mucky snow and the bare patches!!!!

Milly has been very mischevious lately and decided to eat a dvd and cd yesterday and in the process has taken a little chunk out of her tongue, the vet said it will be fine!!!! then this morning I woke up to destruction again!!!! she had completely destroyed a wicker plant pot and it was strewn all over the family room I have now finally cleared it up but it took about an hour as I blocked the dyson up and had to sit there with a screwdriver unblocking it!!!!! I will give her one more chance at behaving and if she doesnt I think I will get her crate back out! She looks like a little angel but really she is not!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope you all had a fabulous christmas. I did but right now I am completely full of cold.........



Since installing FEEDJIT on my blog I am amazed to see that I am having visitors all over the world. I had no idea before I installed it or how many visitors I had. Anyway I notice that some of you also live in Wisconsin, anyway for those of you out there don't be shy leave a comment next time you visit or a link so I can check out your blog.

For christmas I ordered myself a bind it all, it arrived today but as yet I haven't had time to play, I am still trying to get the house back to normal after the christmas break! One of my other christmas presents that dh bought me was Adobe photoshop Elements 6 that I just can't seem to get a grip of, so if your reading this and have any tips for how to use either the BIA or APE6 then please let me know.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

We have had just over 2 feet of snow last night and today. It took us just over 3 hours to clear the driveway!!!! The snow came up to my knees before we cleared it!!!!! DS enjoyed being burried in it!!!!Here are a few pics for you.

I just took these pictures in the garden as the light was fading. I think these are the american version of Robins, a lot bigger than the english version (if anyone knows any different I would love to know).

Happy Wedding Anniversary

Today it is our 15th Wedding Anniversary. No plans as yet but I am sure dh has something up his sleeve!!!! I guess I will have to wait and see!

I have managed to send some christmas cards but I still have so many to send. I doubt I am going to get them done so I apologise to anyone who sent me one and did not receive one back, next year I will have more time and less stress to do them, but this month has been an absolute nightmare so sorry to anyone I have missed or fotgotten.

I managed to get a picture of one of the deer in the garden today, this is not the best pic in the world as I had to grab the camera and take it through the window which has a screen on it so quality is v poor but at least I managed to get a picture!!!! The other pics are from today too, the sky was such a beautiful colour against the snow I just had to take some pics.

House sold

Our house in England sold on Friday even though we have yet to see the money in our account its apparently floating in thin air somewhere. Things are stressful trying to find out what happened to it as the different time zones with bankers all over the world make communicating difficult.

DS1 turned 13 on Monday so he is now officially a teenager!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The boys have their very 1st skiing lesson tonight so keep a lookout for some pics and I will try and post some of the snow soon!!!!!

As for scrapping/crafting I have not been able to do any this week what with chasing solicitors, estate agents and bankers its been a very stressful week.

I have still not got around to doing my christmas cards, so if anyone from the UK is reading this then you will get one it just might be a little late. Jenny thanks I received yours and thanks for the stamped images too.
