Altered Frames

I am in a secret swap at the LSS and the person I am buying/making/buying for had an altered frame in black and burgundy on her list. I didnt have any suitable coloured papers so decided to use acrylic paints, alphas and blossoms to decorate the blank wooden pine frames that I bought. Just hope she likes them.

4 Dogs

Yesterday afternoon we had 2 more dogs (Sam - Labrador, Milley - little dog) added to our household!!!!
My friend is going away for the weekend and just like me she hates to put her dog in kennels!!! so we agreed to look after each others dogs if we need to go away anywhere. So i am the first to try it out!!!

So far so good!!!! we have only had one little accident and they didn't wake us up in the middle of the night which was good. Lets hope it stays that way until Sunday!!!!

One of the not so good things about moving to the US is the fact that our insurance premium changed for out cars from experienced drivers with over 40 years driving experience between us to learner drivers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DH did his test not long after arriving here, but I for one reason or another put it off. When we first got here we only had one car to start off with and by the time we got our second car in November the winter had set in so I didn't like to venture out in the worst winter that Wisconsin has had in the last 10 years. So not until this summer did I feel happy about driving over here and then I just kept putting the test off. I have had to do a written test and a driving test, talk about feeling like a teenager again!!! Not only that but I also had a bit of a struggle trying to get the test in the first place as they don't know their own rules!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's not like they have people from Europe moving here all the time!!!! its not New York !!!!!!!



Anyway I took my tests yesterday and today and I PASSED so at least that's one less thing to to worry about!!!!!!

Hi all

Hope you all had a fab weekend. We had a busy one here so I didn't get any crafting done! For those of you that are technical minded when it comes to blogs!!! I tried to move my blog counter and in the process deleted it! So I added another but the count is wrong! how can I change it?

Cards

Here are the cards I made for Card Club.

Get Well soon: House Mouse Stamp, bottle cap, watercoloured and used H2O's.

Sympathy Card: Kept this simple, it is straight in real life!!!! I haven't added a sentiment so that it can be used for anything!

Scrapping

Last night I had a blast!!! My friend Kris came round to scrap with me!!!! (Kathy if your reading this!!! - I can play well with others LOL). We had a whale of a time! apart from me falling off my chair!!! (which had Kris in stitches) and Kris sticking her project on the wrong way, we did mangae to get a lot done.

I managed to do the 12 sympathy cards!!!! that I needed to do for card club (now whoever chose the idea of doing sympathy cards!!! for cards club! I wasn't there to vote on this but if I had been I would not of been in favour of making them, its not a card I like to make, but if I ever do need one then they are a one off and I am not sure if I would ever send someone a card made by someone else when it comes to a sympathy card!!!!) I have made mine so that they can be used for something else and they will be able to remove the With sympathy part and just change it for something else. I will post a picture soon. I also got started on some Get Well cards and will finish them later today.

I finished a layout for one of my design team assignements and just need to get a photo printed.

So I had a really good time.

We must get together more often as its so much more fun scrapping with another person.

Door Hanger

My husband asked me to make him a door hanger to go on his office door, just like I did for the boys, so this is what he ended up with!!!!!

Sorry about all the nature photographs!!!! Yeah more butterflies.

Look at it this way, I see all this nature through the eyes of a child!!!! Its all pretty alien to me. Having grown up in Germany and then England I haven't really seen these types of butterflies and certainly never had deer in my back garden. I didn't even know that the large looking guinea pigs that were at the bottom of our slope were ground hog until we saw some and I went and looked it up on the internet!!!! So its pretty amazing to me and I am amazed by all the nature around me, apart from the snakes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
