Magnolia, House Mouse (TECC52VC), RAK Image

I have quite a bit to show you all today!! 3 cards in one day, talk about on a roll LOL.

The first one is using one of my new magnolia stamps I received yesterday, this was such fun to colour. In a rush to get a card made with it I kept it really simple, but I still think it looks lovely, I think all the magnolia cards that I have seen online are, you really can't go wrong with these images!!! I stamped the image on watercolour paper and I coloured the image using Tim Holtz distress inks and used my sewing machine again, DP used is wild asparagus and I also used a scrap of pink paper that I embossed using the Swiss dots folder, added a prima flower and brad and lastly some bling for a little sparkle.

Next up is a card for Taylor's cup cake challenge (you can read all about it in a previous post) This sketch was by Vicki. A really easy sketch to make a card with and I completely messed up and ended up having to do a bit of a bodge job on it, can you tell? I hope not!!! The image is a stamp by House Mouse. The dot paper and the paper that is punched with the Martha Stewart doily punch is Wild asparagus. The rest of it is ribbons and I added some bling as something was missing in that space and I didn't know what to add, a girl can never have enough sparkle so that is what i opted for!!! The sentiment is a $1 studio G stamp, which I think fits the house mouse stamp perfectly!

This card is made using a wrak image (Bronc Buster) that I received from a lovely lady called Pauline (aka Meisu4) on SCS, I really love this image and would love to get hold of this stamp set some time! All I did was ink the edges of the image, layered it onto Burgundy card stock that I cut using the cricut and accent essentials cart and then added a strip of paper and adhered the wanted sentiment (also from the Bronc Buster set) with pop dots to raise it slightly.

Thanks for looking and I would also like to say thank you for all the lovely comments I have received lately, they are much appreciated.

  9. Cute cards! I especially love the horse one. I have that set, but I haven't used it. Now you have inspired me. To answer your question about deer in my garden, in the 10 years I've lived here, I've only seen 1 deer in my yard. I am surrounded by farms, so I think the deer prefer eating corn to my plants. I do have problems with other critters though: bunnies, moles, field rats. It can get very frustrating. I live in Zone 4, so I am limited by my plant choices, but I plant mostly 'natural plants that would grow in the area anyway', like Black-eyed Susans, Day lilys, Purple coneflower, Bee Balm, Hollyhock, etc. My garden is very natural, country/cottagy looking: just because thats easier to maintain. Thanks for your interest!

  12. Where to begin they are all so lovely! The first Tilda is just too sweet and so pretty. Love it all. The second is so adorable! I love the DP behind your little maestro mouse! and those pearls too! The third one brings back memories from Reno, NV, rodeos. I was born and raised there until 6 years ago when I moved to NC. Lovely cards,
