When we first moved to the US from England it was June and I was out in the garden and saw a red bird fly past me, I went running into the house to tell everyone that there were parrots flying around outside!!!!
I obviously had never come across a cardinal before! I think they are such pretty birds, its nice to see a splash of colour in the winter, it brightens up my day.
